Karen’s Korner: What constitutes a “good” day?

Karen’s Korner,

I hope everyone is having a ”good” week so far. I was reading about this senior adult who said: “Every day is a good day, especially if you wake up.”

I guess it stands to reason that it would not be so good if she didn’t awaken to a new day.

What constitutes a “good” day for you?

I think a lot of it is determined by attitude. What may be a “good” day for me, may not be a “good” one for you.

It is also dependent upon opinions, abilities, choices and actions.

I like to sleep in when I can…some folks are up at the crack of dawn.

I think a cup of coffee comes first…Diet coke is a starter for others.

I like a good breakfast…some folks never eat breakfast.

I like to take my time and get ready…others are always in a hurry.

We are all individuals and we all have attitudes.

Attitude is defined by Marriam Webster: “The particular way a person thinks or feels about something or someone!” And it usually affects our behavior in some form or other.

I had a professor in college who would tell one of us in class, “Missy, you need an attitude adjustment.” And we usually did.

I truly believe that when we have a positive attitude, we will probably have a “good” day, maybe even a “great day.”

Here are some helpful hints to have a great attitude;
