In a letter sent out to parents and Guardians Monday, The Webster Parish School Board announced that due to an increase in the number of positive COVID-19 cases, students and staff of Lakeside Jr./Sr. Highschool will be transitioning to 100% virtual learning starting Tuesday, Dec. 15 through Friday, Dec. 18.
“If it is deemed safe to return to school after the holidays, all students will return Monday Jan. 4, 2021. This decision was not made lightly and our number one priority is to keep our students and staff healthy and safe,” the letter read.
Meals for students will continue to be available through the “Grab and Go” system, and will be served from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Central Elementary.
