The Little Miss Minden pageant, hosted by the Young Womens’ Service Club, was held at the Civic Center on January 7, 2023. This pageant was open to newborn girls all the way up to 14 year olds. The Little Miss Minden pageant is a precursor for the Miss Minden Scholarship Competition which is celebrating its 70th year this year.
The Baby Miss Minden division — for newborn to 17 month old girls — was won by 14-month-old Hayslee Roden.
The Toddler Miss Minden division — for 18 month to 3 year old girls —- was won by 3-year-old Brenley Berdan.
The Tiny Miss Minden division — for 4 to 6 year old girls — was won by 5-year-old Kristlyn Carter.
The Mini Miss Minden division — for 7 to 9 year old girls — was won by Hadli Beck.
The Pre-teen Miss Minden division — for 10 to 12 year old girls — was won by 11-year-old Presley Wood.
And the Junior Miss Minden division — for 13 to 14 year old girls — was won by 14-year-old Kynzie Smith.
Karlee Zaldivar did an excellent job as Mistress of Ceremonies, bringing energy and humor to the pageant, and Anna Claire Lemoine, Miss MInden 2022, and Courtney Patterson, Miss Spirit of Fasching 2022, were on hand to crown the winners.
Proceeds from this event are used to help send Miss Minden contestants to the state competition.
