Love’s Travel Stop in Minden collecting donations for children’s hospital

The Love’s Travel Stop in Minden is joining locations nationwide in raising money for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals through the annual Miracle Balloon Campaign, which began Friday.

Donations collected at the Minden stop, along with several other locations in northwest Louisiana and east Texas, will benefit CHRISTUS Shreveport-Bossier Health System, the area’s CMN member hospital. The campaign runs through September 26.

“At CHRISTUS, we’re committed to delivering comprehensive care that supports every aspect of a child’s health, from innovative research and preventative services to compassionate family support,” said Kelley Matkins, CMN Hospitals program director, CHRISTUS Foundation Shreveport-Bossier. “We’re deeply thankful for the generosity of Love’s Travel Stops. Their partnership not only strengthens our mission but also brings hope and healing to the children who represent the future of our communities.”

Love’s Travel Stops has partnered with CMN Hospitals since 1999, raising nearly $40 million nationwide through its Miracle Balloon Campaign. Last year, the campaign brought in $75,000 for CHRISTUS Shreveport-Bossier Health System.

Funds raised provide support for pediatric treatments, facilities and programs to meet children’s health needs now and in the future.

In addition to Minden, other participating Love’s locations benefiting CHRISTUS include Blanchard, Greenwood and Mansfield in Louisiana, as well as Carthage and Shreveport in Texas.
