A Webster Parish Sheriff’s Office division leader has been recognized with one of the top honors from the Louisiana Narcotics Officers Association.
Major Bobby Igo III, who oversees the WPSO Narcotics and Criminal Investigation Division, was named 2025 Supervisor of the Year during the LNOA’s annual training conference held earlier this month in New Orleans.
Igo has spent nearly two decades with the Sheriff’s Office, serving 19 and a half years in roles ranging from patrol officer to narcotics investigator. He was promoted to Major one year ago and also directs Region 1 of the LNOA, which covers nine northwest Louisiana parishes including Webster, Caddo and Bossier.
Under his leadership, the WPSO narcotics team has seized multiple kilograms of methamphetamine, cocaine and marijuana as well as thousands of fentanyl pills. Those operations have led to state and federal arrests, with offenders receiving long-term prison sentences.
Sheriff Jason Parker praised Igo’s work, saying, “We are very proud of what Major Igo and his team has accomplished in getting drugs and dealers off the streets. Their work has extended well beyond Webster Parish and their reputation is very well respected by other parish, state and federal law enforcement agencies.”
In the nomination letter for the award, Igo was described as “a remarkable mentor who maintains an open-door policy” and someone who “consistently puts his team before himself…always emphasizing that each successful investigation is the result of a team effort.”
Also during the New Orleans conference, WPSO Det. Sgt. Josh McCormick was installed as Sergeant-At-Arms for LNOA Region 1.
