Mack Ford: Guilty, but not condemned

by Minden Press-Herald

1 John 3:20: If our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.

For many years, my heart condemned me. I learned this verse and used it many times. It is very comforting to know that God is greater than my heart.

After many years, my heart no longer condemned me. Verse 22: If our heart condemns us not, then we have confidence toward God; and whatsoever we ask we receive of Him. I don’t know about my reader, but I have many unanswered prayers. Often, it seems, my prayers stop at the ceiling. Maybe my prayer is not the will of God to grant my request. I will continue to pray hoping that it’s God’s will. I will continue to do my best to keep His commandments and do those things which are pleasing in His sight.

Thank you Father that my heart no longer condemns me.
