Graveside services for Mary E. Byrd will be held Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 2:30 p.m. at Gardens of Memory in Minden, Louisiana with Bro. Bill Crider officiating. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until 2 p.m. Saturday at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden, Louisiana.
Mary was born December 18, 1917 in Nacogdoches, Texas and entered into rest February 28, 2018 in Minden, Louisiana. She was a member of First Baptist Church, a devoted pastor’s wife and good cook.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Rev. Jack E. Byrd, Sr.
She is survived by her sons, Jack E. Byrd, Jr. and wife Peggy of Minden and John E. “Chuck” Byrd and wife Shirley of Minden, daughters, Mary Beth McCullen of Simsboro and Patsy Ann Bolton and husband Carroll of Dubberly, ten grandchildren and a number of great and great great-grandchildren.
