Meet your Outstanding Teen and Spirit of Fasching contestants

This week, the Minden Press-Herald is publishing the contestants for this Saturday’s Miss Minden Pageant. The contestants for Outstanding Teen and Miss Spirit of Fasching will publish today, while the Miss Minden contestants will publish throughout the remainder of the week.
The Miss Minden Pageant is set for 7 p.m., Saturday, at the Minden Civic Center. The winner will represent Minden and will receive scholarships among other prizes.

Aubrey Gray


Aubrey is the fifteen-year-old daughter of Joe and Sharollyn Gray.  She is a freshman at Glenbrook School.  Aubrey is on the Glenbrook varsity cheerleading squad, Christian Club, Glee Club and the Smile Club.  She is currently on the high honor roll. In her free time, Aubrey enjoys hanging out with family and friends, tubing on the lake and napping. After high school, Aubrey plans to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Science and become a radiologic technologist specializing inCardiac and Intervention or Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI).

Laney Wall

Laney Wall is 14 years old and in the 8th grade at Webster junior high school. She has brown hair and blue eyes. After high school she plans to attend college to be a pediatrician.

Jordan Duran

My name is Jordan Duran and I am a 21 year old junior at Louisiana Tech University. I’m currently getting my bachelors in Accounting but will soon start the concurrent program to get my masters. I am an active member of Phi Mu Fraternity and love all things about service and volunteering. Dancing is where I find I can let loose and inhale the spotlight on stage the most. I’ve fallen in love with my school and the town it’s in and I’m ready to expand my love into Minden as your first Miss Spirit of Fasching.

Grace Powell

Grace Powell is an 18 year old Shreveport native who currently is a freshman at The Grambling State University where she majors in Chemistry. After college she plans to attend optometry school to follow her dream of being an optometrist.
