Michael & Chequella Walker to host 9th annual Prayer in the Park

Michael and Chequella Walker will be hosting the 9th annual Prayer in the Park event on Saturday, August 17, at Academy Park in Minden at 9 AM. The event invites the community to join in prayers for students, city officials, first responders, the town, and the country.

This year’s prayers will be led by Brother Chet Johnson of Eastside Baptist Church and Rev. T.J. David of Mt. Zion CME Church. Additionally, School Resource Officer Brady Powell will discuss school safety. A special song will be performed by Brother John Gill Jr.

The Walkers encourage residents of Minden and the surrounding area to participate in this meaningful event.
