The Minden Lions Club Speaker Thursday was Mimi Stoker, Louisiana District 8L Governor. She is from the Natchitoches chapter. She spoke about her attendance to the Lions Club Centennial Conference in Chicago this past year. She said that the Lions Club is the largest service organization in the world with over 1.4 Million members. She also said that Lions Club has raised over $1 billion in the last 50 years with 95 percent of that being donated back to benefit children’s eyesight efforts, diabetes awareness, Lions Camp for special needs children, as well as other service projects.
