Minden Lions Club spring chicken charbroil sells out again

The Minden Lions Club’s annual Spring Chicken Charbroil drew another strong turnout Saturday, April 25, with the popular fundraiser selling out as it routinely does each year.

Club members began serving half chicken dinners at 9 AM in the Walmart parking lot, and customers quickly lined up to purchase the $10 meals. As in years past, all dinners were sold before the event concluded.

The twice-yearly chicken charbroil has become one of the Minden Lions Club’s signature fundraisers, with residents returning each spring and fall to support the longtime civic organization while enjoying a meal.

Proceeds from the event benefit the club’s local service projects and charitable initiatives. The Minden Lions Club supports a variety of community needs, including vision-related assistance, youth programs, and other outreach efforts throughout Webster Parish.

This year’s spring fundraiser also comes as the Minden Lions Club marks its 100th year of service to the community, celebrating a century of civic involvement and charitable work in Minden.

Club members expressed appreciation for the continued support shown by area residents, whose participation helps make the organization’s community projects possible.
