Minden Makers Fair took place on November 9 at the Farm of Cultural Crossroads, drawing a significant crowd despite a forecast threatening rain. Attendees enjoyed an array of arts and crafts, food, and handmade items featured throughout the event.

The fair included various activities such as face painting, balloon sculptures, friendship bracelet making, and a “make and take” art station hosted by Webster Parish Libraries. Demonstrations included hands-on pottery experiences and a captivating glass-blowing exhibit. Vendors showcased unique handmade goods and food artisans provided their specialty items, ensuring there was something for everyone. Food trucks were also present to cater to hungry visitors.

In a statement shared on social media, representatives from the Minden Makers Fair expressed gratitude to everyone involved. “As the sun sets on The Farm of Cultural Crossroads we want to extend a thank you to every single individual who contributed to make yesterday a success,” the statement read. “Volunteers that prepped the grounds and worked on the day of the event. Event sponsors who made our event possible. Vendors who showed up in spite of the weather forecast and rainy set up. Demonstrators who are the magic of our event. Partners like LSU AgCenter & Webster Parish Libraries. And last but CERTAINLY not least every single attendee! Thank you to every person who walked through our gates yesterday. Our goal is for each person to find something they love when they walk inside The Farm be it an item, a moment, or something they create.”

Despite initial concerns over inclement weather, the Minden Makers Fair succeeded in providing a day full of creative activities and community spirit, highlighting the resilience and dedication of organizers, participants, and attendees alike.
