A joint effort by the Minden Police Department and the Webster Parish Sheriff’s Office led to the arrests of four people on drug charges.

They arrested Christopher D. Coleman, 31, of the 1400 block of Highway 531 in Heflin, on a warrant for distribution of a schedule II controlled dangerous substance (crack cocaine) Friday.

In addition, he was arrested Monday at Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center on bench warrants for theft of goods and remaining after forbidden.

Also arrested by Minden Police was Mary Wardell, 59, of the 300 block of Weatherton in Sibley as a fugitive from Bienville Parish.

The sheriff’s office arrested Tymescia R. Reed, 31, of the 400 block of Winford Street for distribution of a schedule I controlled dangerous substance.

Dekarlos D. Harrison, aka “Hot Boy,” 28, of the 400 block of Winford Street, was arrested on four counts of distribution of a schedule I controlled dangerous substance (synthetic marijuana).

That morning, Coleman was arrested at the Winford Street address on the warrant. According to reports, he was standing outside of the residence at the time of arrival and was arrested without incident. At the same time, Wardell, Reed and Harrison were arrested at the same residence.

Officers say Reed was on probation and a search was conducted, but didn’t say why the residence was being searched. During the search, a silver .25 caliber pistol was discovered in the living room of the residence. Harrison claimed ownership of the pistol, according to reports.

Officers say the arrests came about as the result of a two-month investigation where undercover narcotics buys took place.

Three of the four were transported to Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center. Wardell was transferred to Bienville Parish.
