The Minden St. Jude Auction was a big success this weekend, with people donating not only locally but from all over the world. People participated from all 50 states and 49 different countries. The internet alone broke over $1 million in donations, with the grand total raising $2,030,013 for the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Besides the main auction there were several events including the Minden St. Jude Chili Cook-off which raised $9,422, the Young Women’s Service Club’s Kid Day which raised $2,220, and the Minden Run for St. Jude which raised a whopping $89,500. On top of the events, enticing raffle items also pulled in a lot of support.
Some of the big raffle winners include Sara Ryubal winning the Playhouse, three Partner In Hope raffles including Glenn Warren winning the $5000 cash prize, Allen Wiggins winning a trip to Disney World for four, and Greg Story winning the big screen TV. Joey Elawadi won the Grand Prize of a 2023 GMC Yukon.
