November proclaimed as National Hospice and Palliative Care Awareness Month

Mayor Terry Gardner proclaimed November 2019 as National Hospice and Palliative Care Awareness Month at the Civic Center. The proclamation goes as follows.

Whereas, the locally owned and operated hospice organization Regional Hospice Care Group has provided quality care to the residents of Minden, Louisiana,

Whereas, every citizen plays an important role in helping both patients and caregivers by supporting the mission of hospice education and utilization.

Whereas, this public declaration shares our communities unique spirit of helping one another every day and honors the compassion and dedication of the certified nursing assistants, nurses, social workers, chaplains, volunteers, and physicians that comprise the Regional Hospice Team.

Whereas, Hospice and Palliative Care Month presents a unique opportunity to increase awareness of hospice care and honor all who make them possible.

Whereas, the City of Minden joins Regional Hospice Care Group in its continued commitment to educate and provide excellent care to this community.

Now therefore, I, Terry Gardner, Mayor of Minden, Louisiana, do hereby proclaim November 2019 as “National Hospice and Palliative Care Month” in Minden, Louisiana.
