The Jaws of Life were used to extract a man injured in a head-on collision Tuesday afternoon. Minden Police said James Lowe, driving a green Ford truck, headed southbound on U.S. Highway 371, hydroplaned and went into the northbound lane colliding head-on with a white truck, driven by “Pop” Willis. Willis was transported to University Health in Shreveport for injuries. As of press time, the extent of his injuries is unknown and no citations have been issued, police said.
