The National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa, Inc., Epsilon Rho Chapter will host its annual Scholarship Gala featuring Miss Juneteenth on Friday, June 26, at Webster Junior High School.
The event is scheduled to begin at 7 PM at the school, located at 700 E. Union Street in Minden.
Organizers describe the evening as a celebration of achievement, culture, and community, centered on the theme, “Honoring the Past. Celebrating the Present. Inspiring the Future.”
The gala will spotlight the crowning of the 2026 Miss Juneteenth, while raising awareness and support for educational opportunities and scholarships for local students.
Attendees will also enjoy a variety of entertainment throughout the evening. Scheduled performers include OA Designs by Court, saxophonist Dezmond Mitchell, and vocalist Therah Newman.
The event is expected to bring together community members, families, educators, and local leaders for an evening recognizing the accomplishments of area youth while reflecting on the significance and legacy of Juneteenth.
The Epsilon Rho Chapter of the National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa has long supported educational initiatives and scholarship opportunities in the community, with the annual gala serving as one of its signature events.
