A Princeton woman was arrested on November 10 following a break-in at a storage building connected to Mercy’s Closet on Sibley Road.
Officers responded to reports of a woman breaking an exterior window at the location. Upon arrival, officers found Masalyn Harper, 58, standing near the broken window of the storage building. Articles of clothing were scattered on the ground at her feet. Harper was ordered to the ground, handcuffed, and informed of her rights.
Upon further inspection, officers observed more articles of clothing that appeared to have been removed from storage bins located directly beneath the broken window. Photographs of the scene were taken, and officers noted broken glass underneath the displaced clothing. Items found outside the building were returned to nearby storage bins.
Harper was transported to the Minden Police Department, where she was booked on a charge of simple burglary.
All subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
