A Minden man, George Jones, was seriously injured in an automobile accident on Southridge Drive Saturday night. According to a post by the Minden Police Association: “The vehicle failed to negotiate a curve and collided with several trees. Jones had to be extricated from the vehicle after the crash. He was transported to Minden Medical Center with suspected serious, non-life threatening injury.”
Minden police officers suspect alcohol and speed to be major factors in this accident. Jones has been cited for reckless operation and driving under the influence.
