At the recent Webster Parish School Board meeting held on March 4, Jonathan Washington, the newly appointed dean of students at Richardson Elementary School, received the prestigious Employee of the Month award. The honor was bestowed upon him by Kevin Thompson of Taylor and Sons. Prior to assuming his current role at the beginning of this school year, Washington served as the assistant principal at Minden High School.
“Mr. Washington has been a true asset to our campus since starting in August. He supports our teachers and handles discipline issues with our students fairly and consistently. His SBLC paperwork, meetings, and follow-up are extremely professional and well-versed. He has stepped in many times to assist teachers with disruptive students, often keeping them with him. Mr. Washington is knowledgeable about our community and knows many of the parents of our students. He has helped anytime we have teachers working after hours, volunteering their time to decorate or prepare for other activities. He has been a great addition to our campus.”
