SCHEDULE: Week ahead for baseball, softball in Webster Parish

After three weeks of competition, the LHSAA baseball and softball season are well underway.

Here’s a look at this week’s game schedule for fans of all five parish schools.

Baseball

(Blake Branch/Press-Herald) Cameron Dollar and Minden travel to Monroe this weekend for the St. Fred’s Tournament.

Minden: The Crimson Tide are 7-3 and are looking to keep the momentum going this week, starting Tuesday night at Woodlawn. Following that contest, the Tide take part in the St. Frederick’s Tournament this weekend, facing off against Sterlington Thursday at 6:30 p.m., followed by a Saturday doubleheader against Claiborne Christian (10:30 a.m.) and Oak Grove (1 p.m.).

Lakeside: The Warriors (2-7) are trying to right the ship, starting Tuesday at Evangel at 6 p.m. Thursday, Lakeside takes on Claiborne Christian at 4 p.m. in the St. Fred’s tourney; Friday Lakeside wll play two tournament games against Oak Grove (4 p.m.) and Sterlington (6 p.m.)

Glenbrook: The Apaches (2-3) have just one game this week, Tuesday at Riverfield Academy in Rayville. First pitch is at 6 p.m.

Doyline: The Panthers (3-5) travel to Jonesboro for a Thursday tournament game against Simsboro at 7:30 p.m. The Panthers return to Jonesboro Saturday for a 2 p.m. game against Jonesboro-Hodge.

North Webster: The Knights (4-5) return to action this week in the Jena Tournament. They play Winnfield Friday at 4:30 p.m., Jena on Saturday at 11 a.m. and Franklin Parish on Saturday at 3 p.m.

Softball

(Blake Branch/Press-Herald) Cecily Gurgainers and the Lakeside Lady Warriors make the short trip to Doyline tonight to face the Lady Panthers.

Minden: The Lady Tiders face BTW (DH) Tuesday at home in a 6 p.m. first pitch. Wednesday Caddo Magnet comes to town for a 5 p.m. game.

Lakeside: The Lady Warriors play Doyline Tuesday at 5 p.m. in Doyline, before returning home Friday night to face Northwood, also at 5 p.m.

Doyline: The Lady Panthers host the Lakeside Lady Warriors Tuesday at 5 p.m., before traveling to Castor Thursday for a 5 p.m. game.

North Webster: The Lady Knights have one game this week, Thursday at Loyola. First pitch is set for 5 p.m.
