Seeds Women’s Center will host its annual banquet on Thursday, October 9, at the Minden Civic Center. The evening will feature Christian comedian Tim Boyd, offering guests a night of entertainment while supporting the nonprofit’s mission to serve local families.
Doors open at 5:30 PM, with the program beginning at 6 PM. Tickets are required and may be picked up at the Seeds Women’s Center office, 308 Pine Street in Minden. The banquet is a major fundraiser for the center, which provides free pregnancy and family support services, including pregnancy testing, ultrasounds, parenting classes, counseling, and resources through its baby boutique.
Bradford noted that the event offers an opportunity for donors to maximize their support through the Louisiana Maternal Wellness Health Tax Credit Act 437. “This credit allows a refundable state income tax credit up to 50% of your donation amount to Seeds,” she said. “It applies to both personal and corporate donations. Our banquet or even our end of year giving is the perfect opportunity to help our center thrive even more and give back to women and families right here in our community.”
Funds raised will help Seeds Women’s Center continue expanding its services at its new Pine Street location.
