The All American Halftime Show is pleased to announce that Sharity Brent, representing the Louisiana Tech Regal Blues, and Jacie Brent, representing the MHS Louisi-Annes, have been invited to be a part of the official Buffalo Wild Wings Citrus Bowl performance cast again this year. Only the best performers in the nation between twelve and twenty-one years of age qualify for this opportunity.
The theme of this year’s All American Halftime Show is “CARTOON CLASSICS!” featuring that Oscar winning rabbit, Bugs Bunny, Fred Flintstone, Scooby Doo, George Jetson and Porky Pig. This production is sure to appeal to young and old alike! The colors, costumes, music, choreography and formations will truly make this “the performance of a lifetime” for the All American Cast! The thrill of performing for sixty-five thousand fans and potentially millions of viewers on national television is what keeps the girls coming back year after year.
This will be Sharity’s forth and Jacie’s fifth time to perform in the Citrus Bowl due to their being chosen as “All American” dancers. In previous years, the girls have performed with CMA Award-winning singer/songwriter Dierks Bentley and Grammy-nominated country artist, Hunter Hayes.
This year the 70th annual Buffalo Wild Wings Citrus Bowl will feature the University of Florida Gators and the Michigan Wolverines. According to officials from Florida Citrus Sports, tickets were completely sold out 24 hours after announcing the pairings. It was the second-fastest sell-out in bowl history. The New Year’s Day classic will kick off in its traditional noon slot on Jan. 1 from Florida Citrus Bowl Stadium in Orlando and will be televised nationally by ESPN on ABC.
“We’re delighted to take the excitement of the Capital One Bowl to even greater heights by having Dierks Bentley perform a free concert at our FanFest,” Roger Ferguson, Managing Vice President – Advertising and Sponsorships at Capital One said. “Having a country music star followed by what will be a highly-entertaining bowl game is sure to make New Year’s Day memorable in Orlando. We’re delighted to take the excitement of the Capital One Bowl to even greater heights by having Dierks Bentley perform a free concert at our FanFest.”
In addition to their New Year’s performance in Orlando, “All American” cast members, Sharity and Jacie, will visit many exciting attractions in beautiful Central Florida. Their six-day All American cast member performance tour includes visits to Universal Orlando theme parks, and of course, Walt Disney World, including the Magic Kingdom, EPCOT Center, Animal Kingdom, or the Disney Hollywood Studios theme park. Sharity and Jacie’s favorite park is Disney’s Hollywood Studios. They said they can spend all day on the Tower of Terror ride.
“The Buffalo Wild Wings Citrus Bowl halftime show is consistently hailed as the most spectacular New Year’s Day production in the country,” executive Bruce Hart explains, “Only the Nation’s top students who meet stringent cast selection criteria qualify to receive this fantastic New Year’s performance opportunity, this is by no means an ‘Open Call’ production.” Last year, Jacie went alone, because Sharity had prior commitments to her Regal Blues team, so they both feel very blessed to be able to share this experience together again. They would like to invite everyone to watch the game and “America’s Best Halftime Show” on ABC New Year’s Day at noon.
