A new laundromat is now open in Minden following a ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating the launch of Spinnin’ Stacks Laundry at 801 Lewisville Road, directly across from Dixie Mart.
Spinnin’ Stacks Laundry offers a variety of laundry services for area residents, including self-service washing and drying, wash-dry-fold service, steaming, Wash Express, and cleaning for bulk items. The business also provides pickup and delivery within the Minden city limits for an additional $10.
The laundromat is open daily from 7 AM to 8 PM.
During the ribbon cutting, Greater Minden Chamber President Stephanie Barnette praised the new business and its owner, Nancy Blanchard.
“I’m just so proud and happy for you, Nancy. We have already utilized her services: 50 tablecloths and chair covers. We brought them up here and, within a day, they were clean, folded, and brought back to us. I highly recommend everything that they do,” Barnette said.
Blanchard said the response from the community since opening has been overwhelmingly positive.
“The community has been great. Several people have come in to thank me for opening this business,” Blanchard said.
Blanchard also shared the meaning behind the business’s name, explaining that it serves as a tribute to her mother and her uncle, both of whom shared the last name Stacks, making the business name a personal memorial as well as a brand identity.
“I knew we were, in some way, going to incorporate the name Stacks. I think my Aunt Lynn came up with the idea of Spinnin’ Stacks, and I said that’s what we’re going with,” she said.
