Event Details:

  • Date: October 12, 2024

  • Parade Route: Starting at Piggly Wiggly, heading north along Main Street, turning left at the Clock Tower, and circling back to conclude at the Lumberjack Festival located at the Frank B. Anthony RV Park.

This year’s parade will feature a diverse lineup of log trucks, classic cars, heavy machinery, and local groups showcasing their talents and spirit. From cheer squads to car clubs, community organizations, and local businesses, everyone is invited to participate and make this a celebration to remember!

“We’re thrilled to host the Lumberjack Festival Parade and celebrate 40 years of tradition,” said Amie Poladian, Executive Director of Springhill Main Street. “It’s not just an opportunity to honor our heritage, but also a chance for the entire community—whether it’s local businesses, civic groups, or individuals—to join in, represent themselves, and make meaningful connections.”

Call for Participants:

Springhill Main Street is calling on everyone to come out and join the fun! Whether you have a tractor, a fancy car from the Lumberjack Festival Car Show, or a piece of heavy equipment, we’d love to see it parading down Main Street!

Owners of classic and custom vehicles are invited to roll out their rides and let the crowd “ooh” and “aah” over them—or maybe even share a laugh, depending on the category! Pep squads, drill teams, volunteer groups, fire departments, sports teams, car and motorcycle clubs, trail riding clubs, musicians, political candidates, and local businesses—come out and REPRESENT your organization. Whether you walk, drive, float, or scoot, everyone is welcome!

“If you’ve got a vehicle, a float, or just want to march down the street, we want you in this parade,” added Amie. “It’s a chance to showcase our local talent, businesses, and community spirit while creating unforgettable memories.”

Interested participants can fill out a simple five-question entry form to join the parade by clicking the Lumberjack Festival Parade on the Springhill Main Street Facebook page.

A Boost for Local Businesses:

As the parade winds its way through downtown, spectators will have the perfect opportunity to explore Springhill’s unique shops, restaurants, and businesses along Main Street. Events like the Lumberjack Festival Parade are a powerful driver for the local economy, encouraging foot traffic and supporting our small businesses.

“The parade not only brings people together but also helps our downtown businesses shine,” said Ms. Poladian. “It’s great to see visitors discovering all that Springhill has to offer.”
