A Springhill man was arrested on drug charges after the North Webster Narcotics Task Force reportedly made some undercover buys from him.
Ricardo L. Jackson, 31, of Camelot Drive in Springhill, was arrested Thursday, July 16, and charged with distribution of crack cocaine and on a warrant for theft by shoplifting. Bond was set at $51,500.

According to reports, task force agents served a distribution warrant “resulting from an undercover narcotic buy made on him for crack cocaine.” Springhill Police Chief Will Lynd, Lt. Shawn Baker and Det. Ronald Wedgeworth served the warrants.

He was taken into custody without incident, according to reports.

Agents learned of the theft warrant when he was transported to the Springhill Police Department for booking.

A hold was placed on him for the theft warrant. He was transported to Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center.
