Springhill Woman Charged with Theft After Allegedly Taking Money from Wallet

by Minden Press-Herald

Webster Parish Sheriff’s Office has charged 26-year-old Brenna Nicole Reynolds of Springhill for an alleged theft incident at a Sarepta convenience store where she worked as a clerk.

According to Sheriff Jason Parker, Reynolds faces a theft charge for reportedly removing more than $400 from a wallet left behind by a customer at the store. The wallet, containing cash, was returned empty to the customer the following day.

The incident unfolded when a customer inadvertently left their wallet on the counter after making purchases at the store. Another customer later found the wallet and handed it over to Reynolds, who checked its contents and identified the owner’s ID.

Sheriff Parker stated, “She told the person who found the wallet its owner would be back and then placed it on the counter behind her. Later, she turned away from the store security counter and took the money from the wallet. The next day it was returned empty to the person who left it.”

Following an investigation by WPSO Detective Terry Brown, Reynolds reportedly admitted to taking the money during questioning.
