Students help design Press-Herald ads

by Minden Press-Herald

Ads in Friday’s edition may look a little different as they were produced by a special group of designers.

Students in first through eighth grade from across Webster Parish were invited through their schools to showcase their favorite businesses through the Press-Herald’s annual Design an Ad campaign.

“This campaign is very special and one of our favorites,” Press-Herald Advertising Director Telina Worley said. “It gives us the opportunity to include our young readers in the publication while advertisers can encourage their artistic talents.”

Fanette Hodges, owner of Fanette’s Flower House, purchased an ad for her floral business designed by her granddaughter’s friend.

“She did such a great job drawing it and it was such an accurate depiction our business,” she said. “Design an ad is such a great project because it shows off the talent of the children in the area.”
