During the October 2 Webster Parish School Board meeting, Tammie Jones was recognized as the Employee of the Month and was presented the award by Rodney Taylor of Taylor & Sons. Ms. Jones had retired just weeks before the award was given after a long career in the food service department.
Her letter of recommendation read as follow:
“I would like to nominate Tammie Jones as the Employee of the Month. Tammie has been a food service employee for over 20 years. She takes pride in her work and always gets the job done. She goes above and beyond what is asked of her and never complains. There are so many words to describe this beautiful woman. She is caring and compassionate and enjoys the work she does. She takes pride in being a food service worker and goes out of her way to help others. She is dependable and has a high expectation for each person she trains. I love working with Tammie, and she brings a bright spirit to each person she encounters. Please consider my nomination for Ms. Tammie “Beautiful” Jones.”
