The United Christian Assistance Program will host its annual b1BANK Charity Golf Tournament June 20-21 at Pine Hills Country Club, with proceeds benefiting the organization’s efforts to assist individuals and families in need throughout the Minden area.
The tournament will be played in a two-man scramble format. Activities begin at noon on June 20 and conclude on June 21.
UCAP is a local nonprofit ministry that provides food, rent and utility assistance, clothing, and emergency short-term lodging for residents facing financial hardship. The organization relies entirely on donations and fundraising efforts to carry out its mission of helping people through difficult times while demonstrating Christian compassion and support within the community.
Organizers said the golf tournament is one of UCAP’s two largest annual fundraisers, along with Hungerfest. Funds raised help sustain the organization’s year-round assistance programs.
Several sponsorship opportunities are available. A Gold Sponsor package costs $1,000 and includes two teams in the tournament. A Silver Sponsor package costs $500 and includes one team. Teams that do not participate through a sponsorship may enter for $300 per team.
Tournament registration includes food and beverages for both days, as well as a dinner on Saturday evening.
Entry forms are available on UCAP’s website. Participants may visit UCAP’s website and select the Golf Entry tab for registration information.
For additional information, contact John Earnhardt at (318) 218-4909 or Kevin McCann at (318) 560-2705.
Organizers encourage golfers, businesses, and community supporters to participate in the event, noting that proceeds directly support local residents who need temporary assistance with basic necessities and emergency situations.
