johnny-ross-david762Graveside services for Johnny Ross David will be held Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Minden Cemetery in Minden under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden. The Rev. Ronnie Whitlock will be officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 10, 2016 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden.

Johnny Ross was born June 16, 1943 in Minden and entered into rest Oct. 7, 2016 in Shreveport. He served his country in the United States Marines and was a retired Deputy Sheriff with Webster Parish. Johnny Ross was a 32nd degree Mason and a Shriner.

He was preceded in death by the love of his life, wife Judy Crockett David, parents John David Jr. and Yvonne Ross David, and grandparents John T. David Sr. and Irma David.

He is survived by his daughters, Lisa Wright and husband Crowley of Shreveport, Lori Warren and husband Jack of Heflin, Amy Jones of Minden, and Polly White and husband Keith of Atlanta, Georgia, sisters Dinah Maupin and Sally Sullivan and husband Ray of Minden, brother Joe David and wife Missy of Sibley, grandchildren, Matthew, Marshall, and Molly Merritt, Abby Ogwyn, Maggie Braunscheidel, Asa Warren, Eric and Emily Jones, Anna and Jake White, and Justin Hughes, and great-grandchildren Ruia, Etta, Addison, Arlington, Leea, and Bennie Mae and numerous friends.

Pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews, Matthew Merritt, Marshall Merritt, Asa Warren, Jake White, Eric Jones, Greg Garcia, Eddie Maupin, Coty David, Jake David and Justin Hughes.

Memorials may be made to Shriner’s Hospital or donor’s choice.

The family extends a special thanks to the staff of Heritage Manor South and ICU staff and doctors at Overton Brooks Veterans Hospital for their kindness and care shown to their loved one.
