Webster Parish authorities responded to a domestic dispute in which a woman reportedly hit her boyfriend in the head with a glass coffee pot.

Webster Parish Sheriff’s Deputy Marshall Merritt responded to the 1000 block of Highway 518, just outside of Claiborne Parish when Claiborne authorities alerted them to the disturbance, according to reports.

When Merritt arrived, he made contact with the victim who reportedly told him his girlfriend hit him in the head with a glass coffee pot, and he then shoved her away from him. Reports indicate the victim had a
laceration on his arm, a contusion on his head and blood on his clothing.

When Merritt spoke with the suspect, Jesseca Paige Ford, 28, of the 1000 block of Highway 518 in Minden, she reportedly admitted to hitting the victim with the coffee pot and that the victim did not hit her.

While the victim did not want to press charges, Merritt arrested Ford for domestic abuse battery, based on the victim’s injuries, according to reports.

Ford was then transported to Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center. Bond was set at $50,000.
