The holiday season in Webster Parish will shine bright as the Greater Minden Chamber, the City of Minden, and Webster Parish Tourism host Christmas in Minden, a weekend celebration packed with festive events for all ages December 12–14. Presented by Gibsland Bank & Trust, the annual tradition draws crowds from across the region eager to experience Minden’s signature small-town holiday spirit.
Festivities begin Friday, December 12, with the 3rd Annual Downtown Minden Wine Walk from 5 to 9 PM. Sponsored by The Minden Foundation and Minden Family Dental, the event invites participants to sip, shop, and stroll through downtown while enjoying live music, exclusive shopping, and tastings at local businesses. Tickets are available through the Greater Minden Chamber’s website, and early purchase is encouraged as the event typically sells out.
Also on Friday, the Presents on Pearl Vendor Market opens along Pearl Street, offering a festive marketplace filled with handmade goods, holiday treats, and unique gifts. The market continues Saturday, December 13, from 11 AM to 6 PM, giving shoppers two chances to find locally made treasures while soaking up the downtown Christmas atmosphere.
The centerpiece of the weekend arrives Saturday evening when the Minden Christmas Parade rolls through downtown at 5 PM. Sponsored by Minden Coca-Cola, this year’s parade carries the theme “A Hometown Christmas,” celebrating community pride, nostalgic traditions, and local spirit. Residents and groups are encouraged to participate with decorated floats, vehicles, or performances that showcase what makes Minden special.
The Chamber is still accepting parade and vendor registrations through its website at greatermindenchamber.com/christmas-in-minden.
