A woman previously barred from Walmart was arrested January 29 after police said she returned to the store and was found with unpaid merchandise.
Officers were dispatched to the Walmart on Homer Road in reference to Lisa Brown, 57, being on the property despite having been formally trespassed in September 2024, according to a Minden Police Department report. While en route, officers were advised Brown was driving a white Kia Soul and spotted the vehicle as it was attempting to leave the parking lot.
A traffic stop was conducted, and Brown was identified as the driver. After being advised of her rights, Brown admitted to having unpurchased merchandise inside the vehicle, police said.
Loss prevention employees responded to the scene and confirmed they wished to pursue charges. Officers located the merchandise in the rear hatch area of the vehicle and returned it to store staff. A voided receipt provided by Walmart showed the value of the items totaled $69.26.
Department records confirmed Brown had been issued a criminal trespass warning on September 25, 2024.
Brown was taken into custody and transported to the Minden Police Department for booking. She was charged with misdemeanor theft and criminal trespass.
All subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
