Gibsland Bank & Trust (GBT) has been named the title sponsor for the upcoming Phillip’s Cottage 5K after presenting a $3,000 donation to organizer Sara McDaniel on Monday, March 30.
The contribution supports the race set for Saturday, April 25, in Minden, with proceeds benefiting Phillip’s Cottage, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides transitional housing for women with children graduating from Louisiana Adult & Teen Challenge.
The race will begin and end at Phillip’s Cottage, located at 217 W. Union St. The fun run will start at 8:00 AM, followed by the 5K at 8:15 AM. Participants may run or walk, and a “sleep-in supporter” option is available for those who wish to contribute without attending.
The event is designed to support the ongoing needs of Phillip’s Cottage, including housing, maintenance, and operational expenses, while providing a way for the community to get involved.
