A memorial service celebrating the life of Jo Rogers will be held Saturday, July 11, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church West Chapel in Minden, Louisiana with visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m. Officiating will be Bro. Steve Gilley.
Jo was born January 15, 1936, in Claiborne Parish and met her Lord and Savior July 2, 2026, in Shreveport, Louisiana. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Minden and always ready to serve.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gillie and Bessie Batton Frye; husbands, Ira Buddy Clary and Jimmie D. Rogers; son, Wiley Randall Clary; sister, Geraldine Cottrell; and brother, Rex Frye.
Sher is survived by her daughter, Judy O’Dell (Larry), twin sister, Jean Mitchell (Edgar), stepson, Anthony Rogers, grandchildren, Matt O’Dell (Jessica), Megan Johnson (Phillip), Brandon Halley (Morgan), and Jessica Clary, and great-grandchildren, Reed O’Dell, Grant O’Dell, Tatum Johson, Georgia Johnson, and Orion Halley, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Gideons International or donor’s choice.
