Contestants from across Louisiana will return to Minden later this month to compete for more than $100,000 in scholarships and prizes during the 2027 Miss Louisiana Volunteer State Pageant.

The three-day competition will be held July 30 through August 1 at the Minden Civic Center, bringing young women from throughout the state to Webster Parish for interviews, rehearsals, community activities, preliminary competitions, and the state finals.

The event marks the second consecutive year the Miss Louisiana Volunteer Organization has selected Minden as host city after the pageant made its Minden debut in 2026. Last year’s inaugural competition drew a sold-out crowd to the Civic Center, with Jesse Foshee, representing Miss Natchitoches, crowned Miss Louisiana Volunteer 2026 and Izzy Gray, representing Miss Lafayette Teen, crowned Miss Louisiana Teen Volunteer 2026.

This year’s production carries the theme “One in a Million,” featuring a disco-inspired atmosphere with a nod to the film Miss Congeniality. Organizers said the show will include original choreography, live entertainment, visual effects, and performances celebrating the contestants.

The Miss Louisiana Volunteer Organization emphasizes education, leadership, volunteerism, and community service. Contestants compete in interview, fitness and wellness, evening gown, and talent while pursuing scholarships and professional development opportunities.

In addition to the Miss and Teen competitions, the organization will host its Magnolia Princess Experience, designed to introduce young girls to confidence, leadership, and service through activities held alongside the state pageant.

Organizers expect the event to attract hundreds of visitors from across Louisiana, providing an economic boost for area hotels, restaurants, retailers, and other businesses throughout the weekend.

“We’re excited to showcase not only the incredible young women competing, but also the hospitality and spirit of our community,” said Kayla Rodriguez, executive director of Miss Louisiana Volunteer. “Every contestant who walks across our stage represents a future leader, and we’re honored to provide opportunities that encourage service, scholarship, and personal growth.”

The Miss Louisiana Volunteer State Finals will begin at 7 PM Saturday, August 1, at the Minden Civic Center. Before the competition, VIP ticket holders and sponsors will be invited to attend a Blue Carpet Reception.

The organization said it is supported by partners including the City of Minden, Visit Webster Parish, BOM Bank, Bossier Parish Community College, Minden Coca-Cola, Minden Walmart, and numerous local businesses.

Tickets for the pageant are available online through Eventbrite. Additional information about the Miss Louisiana Volunteer Organization, sponsorship opportunities, and future competitions is available on the organization’s website and social media channels.
