Funeral services for Opal Mae Alexander Corbin will be held Friday, Dec. 16, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden with the Rev. Bill Crider officiating. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Minden. The family will receive friends at 1 p.m. Friday.
Opal was born June 12, 1914 in Fryeburg and entered into rest Dec. 12, 2016 in Minden.
She was preceded in death by her husband James Frank Corbin, daughters Dorothy Jean Dempsey and Jo Ann Holt, two grandchildren Pam Dempsey and Kevin Dempsey, six brothers and six sisters.
She is survived by her grandchildren, Donna Wise of Carrollton, Alabama, Karen Potter and husband Dale of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Lisa Campbell and husband Greg of Brookwood, Alabama, Gary Holt and Mark Holt and wife Kristy of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, six great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
The family extends special thanks to Town and Country Health and Rehab for the love and care given to this special lady.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Minden or donor’s choice.
