Swine Show marks second night of livestock events at Webster Parish Fair

The 4-H livestock show continued on the second night of the Webster Parish Fair with the Swine Show on October 2. Participants showcased their skills in handling and caring for swine, with animals judged on their market sale attributes. In the showmanship competition, participants demonstrated their expertise in presenting the swine.

Results of the Swine Show included:

  • Champion Swine Showman: Zander Thompson
  • Reserve Champion Swine Showman: Tayln Bates
  • Champion and Reserve Champion Market Swine: Zander Thompson

After the Swine Show, younger children participated in the Pee Wee pig pusher contest, showing off their pig-herding abilities.

Thursday night will feature Goat, Lamb, and Beef Showmanship competitions, followed by the 4-H Dairy and Doug Sale Showmanship Award at 7 PM. Friday’s events will include the Buyer’s Luncheon at 11:30 AM, with the Livestock Auction beginning at 1 PM in the 4-H Show Barn.

The fair continues through Saturday, celebrating local agricultural traditions.
