Epsilon Rho Chapter Donates Water to Senior Citizens

On Saturday, May 29, 2021, Epsilon Rho Chapter of the National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa, Inc. held “Stay Safe: Hydrate” community service event focused on helping senior citizens to staying healthy in the summer heat. The chapter donated cases of water to local senior citizens. Almost 50 cases were donated to the Savannah Court Assisted Living facility and other local senior citizens. According to a 2015 study in the Journal of Gerontology Nursing, between 20 to 30 percent of senior citizens are chronically dehydrated.

Epsilon Rho Chapter is committed to supporting its local community through service projects such as Sickle Cell Anemia can shake, Susan B. Komen foundation, donations to local schools, mentoring local youth, and nursing homes. The Epsilon Rho Chapter also collects funds for local, regional, and national scholarships.
