The Glenbrook Apaches won two games in the Converse tournament Thursday.
Glenbrook defeated Zwolle 23-6 and Red River 7-4.
Elsewhere, Minden fell to Cedar Creek 3-2 in eight innings the first of a three-game series in Ruston, and Lakeside dropped the first of a three-game series against D’Arbonne Woods 13-2 at Lakeside.
Doyline fell to North Caddo 15-0 at Doyline. North Webster dropped an 11-10 decision to Taylor, Ark., at Taylor.
At the Converse tournament, Brayden Watkins went 4-for-4 with a triple and four RBI against Zwolle. Ryan Reagan went 3-for-4 with a double.
Ace Rolen and Darron Hollingsworth both went 2-for-2. Ryder Malone went 2-for-4 with two RBI. Kleaton Davis had three RBI. Noah Martin and Davis Powell had two RBI each.
Rolen went five innings for the win in the six-inning game. He struck out six.
Six Apaches combined for six hits, all singles, against Red River. Glenbrook took advantage of four errors and five walks.
Darron Hollingsworth had three RBI. Noah Martin pitched a complete game. He allowed four hits, struck out five and walked four.
Glenbrook (8-9), which has won seven of its last nine, improved to 8-9.
At Cedar Creek, Minden led 2-0 through five innings. The Cougars tied it in the bottom of the sixth, scoring two runs with two outs,
Bray Winston tripled with two outs in the top of the seventh but a groundout ended the threat. Cedar Creek had runners at first and second thanks to an error and intentional walk. Landon Brewer sent the game into extra innings tied at 2 with his third strikeout of the inning.
The Cougars scored the winning run in the eighth on a single, error, sacrifice bunt and sacrifice fly.
Brewer struck out 14 in seven innings. He allowed two hits and walked four. Two Cedar Creek pitchers limited the Tide to three hits.
Minden (9-3) and Cedar Creek (9-2) are scheduled to complete the series with a doubleheader Friday at Griffith Stadium starting at 4:30.
At Lakeside, the Warriors trailed just 4-2 through five innings but D’Arbonne Woods put nine on the board in the top of the sixth.
Lakeside had five hits. Drake Chreene had a double. Lakeside starter Maddox Cascio allowed three hits, struck out three and walked four in five innings.
The Warriors (4-10) and Timberwolves (3-9) are scheduled to complete the series with a doubleheader Friday starting at 6 in Farmerville.
