The City of Minden wishes to inform residents of two scheduled power outages slated to occur in the northeast section of Minden on Tuesday, April 2. These outages are vital for the repair of a crucial switch at the Sheppard Street substation. The first outage is scheduled to commence at approximately 10 PM, with another planned around 1 AM.
“Each outage is expected to last roughly 45 minutes. We understand the inconvenience this may pose and extend our sincere apologies for any disruptions to your evening activities or business operations,” said Mayor Nick Cox.
The areas anticipated to be affected include Homer Road, Sheppard Street, East Union, Fincher Road, Fort Street, the Victory Park area and Sibley Road.
“We apologize for any inconvenience caused. These outages are necessary due to damage that occurred to the switches last July. Temporary fixes were implemented until replacement parts could be received. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation,” said Mayor Cox.
