Minden resident Michael Dexter has been awarded a prestigious Brandon Hall Group Excellence Award for his contributions to emergency nursing education. Dexter, who serves as the Director of Professional Development for the Board of Certification for Emergency Nursing (BCEN), received a Gold Medal in the “Best Learning Leader” category, recognizing his transformative impact on learning and development.
Dexter holds seven national nursing certifications and continues to work part-time as an emergency department (ED) nurse. He was honored alongside professionals from major global companies such as Dell Technologies, Salesforce, and L’Oreal USA. Dexter’s leadership at BCEN has led to a 450% expansion of the BCEN Learn continuing education platform, which now offers over 100 courses and a variety of interactive learning tools. Under his guidance, the platform has garnered exceptional ratings and has become a key resource for emergency, trauma, and critical care transport nurses worldwide.
