Webster Parish School Board President Johnny Rowland announced to the public when final report cards will be delivered and that they are starting to plan and have set dates for graduation ceremonies for the Class of 2020.
“We are thrilled to announce that we are able to plan tentative graduation ceremonies for the Class of 2020. They will be held the week of July 20th through 24th and each individual school will be providing their seniors with more details,” said Rowland.
“We know the circumstances surrounding the graduation are far from ideal, but we are excited that we are able to begin the planning so we can celebrate this special class.”
Rowland also stated that the final report card for the 2019/2020 school year will be mailed to home starting June 1st. “If you should have specific questions about your child’s situation, please contact your school principal for more guidance,” said Rowland.
He also shared the fact that the Webster Parish School system will continue to provide educational assistance to their students through the summer. “Our district will continue to provide instructional support throughout the summer months in order to keep our students on track through this pandemic. You will receive more detailed information regarding these resources in the days to come, and we encourage you to continue to access the COVID-19 portal on our website,” said Rowland.
“Always remember that our number one goal is to serve our students and stakeholders. As we all navigate through these extraordinary times, we must continue to work together for the betterment of our students.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if we can help in any way. Stay safe and healthy until we can meet again face to face.”
