House Appropriations Committee compromises on raising spending cap

BATON ROUGE—The House Appropriations Committee on Monday approved a compromise plan to raise an expenditure cap and let the state spend an additional $250 million in the current fiscal year and $1.4 billion above the projected cap next year.
