Minden Mayor Nick Cox has been reelected to the Louisiana Municipal Association’s Executive Board, where he will continue to serve as District A Vice President for the 2025–2026 term.

The announcement came during the LMA’s 88th Annual Convention, held July 29–31 at the Lake Charles Event Center. The event brought together leaders from more than 300 municipalities and consolidated parish governments across the state to collaborate on issues facing local governments and to celebrate municipal achievements.

As District A Vice President, Cox will represent municipalities in Webster, Bossier, Caddo, and DeSoto parishes. He will serve on the Executive Board alongside nine other district vice presidents and newly installed officers, including President Mayor Ray Bourque of Broussard, First Vice President Mayor Darnell Waites of Baker, and Second Vice President Mayor Staci Albritton Mitchell of West Monroe.

“I’m honored to be reelected to the LMA Executive Board as District Vice President for Webster, Bossier, Caddo, and DeSoto parishes,” Cox said. “It’s a privilege to represent our villages, towns, and cities and to help shape policies that strengthen local government across northwest Louisiana.”

Throughout the three-day convention, attendees participated in workshops, panel discussions, and educational sessions aimed at addressing the challenges and opportunities facing Louisiana’s municipalities. The event concluded with the installation of new leadership and recognition of municipal accomplishments across the state.

The City of Monroe was announced as the host for the 89th Annual Convention in 2026.

Founded to support and advocate for Louisiana’s local governments, the LMA serves 304 municipalities and two parishes. The organization provides education, policy guidance, and a platform for collaboration among municipal leaders.
